One of the significant social problems caused from the war in Iraq is the large number of Iraq's civilian population suffering from a variety of disabilities including missing limbs, spinal injuries, loss of sight, loss of hearing, and much more. For many of these people, every day is a struggle to accomplish even the simplest of tasks while their families also face insurmountable difficulties as they try to care for their loved ones.
Learning to cope with a new disability is a challenge, but one we can help Iraqis overcome with your support. Our goal is to help Iraq’s disabled population adjust and become as fully-abled and self-reliant as possible.
There is a desperate and urgent need among Iraq's disabled population for wheelchairs, canes, crutches, eyeglasses, hearing aids, and rehabilitation training. With this in mind, Generation Iraq is seeking your support in helping to bring some relief to these victims and their families. Your generous donation can help provide a family with a much-needed wheelchair for their disabled son or daughter, a cane or crutches for someone who has lost a limb or been seriously injured during the ongoing conflict, a pair of glasses for someone blinded, or a hearing aid for someone who suffers from hearing loss, in many cases due to explosions. Your donations can also assist us in providing physical therapy programs for those who have a chance at regaining the use of their arms or legs or becoming at least strong enough to get by on their own.
