our new Baseball project in Kurdistan provided
by USAID with association of Department of State
and the Millennium Relief and Development
Service. The training camp is from November 18th
through November 22nd in Sulaymaniyah,
Iraq and our very own GI Director Haval is
snapping many pictures!
The project was the brainchild of 5 gifted students at Central Christian School in Clayton, Missouri, Abby, Alex, Clare, Elijah and
Nathan. The children wanted to share their favorite sport with Iraqi children! So the school with the help of their dedicated teacher
MarthaAnne promoted a campaign to gather donated baseball equipment from the parents and the community. The result is the
beginning of a new day for many students in Sulaymaniya, Iraq.
We congratulate Abby, Alex, Clare, Elijah and Nathan on their initiative and compassion for others across the world.
